Hello

I am Desiree (Desi), a New Orleans based photographer, specializing in pet photography.

I have loved photography for as long as I can remember, so when I was gifted a professional camera a few years ago (for my birthday), I immediately thought I was going to snap pictures of everything. Little did I know, working a professional camera is much more than point, aim, click.

I will not lie, the camera sat in the closet for a while, and then one day I just decided to take the plunge and follow my passion. I signed up for a several photography classes with Click Love Grow, both photography and business related, and now here we are.

Why pet photography you ask?

In 2015, my only child (Monica Ann) graduated from high school and moved to Baton Rouge to attend college at LSU. Very, very quickly empty nest syndrome set in. A year later, we welcomed a Boston Terrier (Runkle Lane) into our home, and he quickly stole my heart (and the hearts of everyone he meets). While I have had many animals throughout my lifetime, there is just something extra special about him (he is my four-legged soul mate). I am always snapping pictures of him, either with my camera phone or with my professional camera, so naturally, when I decided to take up photography, Pet Photography was an easy choice.

If you are looking to celebrate a birthday, we can do a dog-friendly cake smash! Celebrating a graduation, we can do graduation pictures. Are you rejoicing in a health milestone with your old, senior buddy, or do you need to capture tender, end of life moments of your fur-child of 15 years?

The possibilities are endless, and honestly, you don’t need an excuse to remember moments with your best friend.

I enjoy photographing animals and capturing their spirit, their innocence, unconditional love, and the bond that is shared between them and their owners.

It gives me great pleasure to know that I am providing families with memories that will last a lifetime.

If you are needing memorable portraits of your pet, reach out and let’s chat.
